Port Security Assessments

Port and Maritime security is a critical combination of both land and maritime security.

With the recent launch, worldwide, of the US initiated Container Security Initiative and the required compliance with the ISPS and MTSA regulations it is vital that ports and maritime facilities not only comply with the incumbent legislation but can visually demonstrate a pro active approach to security.

Blue Mountain use trained and qualified security assessors who assess, prepare and write the security assessments and security plans for each port facility.

Each security plan is then prepared to accurately reflect the security requirements for each individual facility using the specific information collated by the security assessor.

Maritime security requires a very different style of approach often requiring services as diverse as crew transferring to underwater surveillance and deterrents.

We have the ability to supply skippers and MCA coded vessels and Ribs. Many of our operatives have extensive experience in maritime security including ex members of the British SBS and the Royal Marine Commandos.

This of course needs to be married to the landside element of the operation and in tangent with this a complete security package can be achieved.

Key to this overall package is the requirement for command and control centres that are capable of clear communication, visual and audio surveillance and coordinated responses; this requires unique individuals with excellent communication and management skills.
