Training Facilities
The Blue Mountain Group have access to driver training facilities both in Llandow in South Wales and at the world famous Bruntingthorpre proving ground in the Central Midlands.
Formally a US Air Force base Bruntingthorpe proving ground is currently the largest privately owned vehicle test track facility in the UK. At the heart of the 670 acre site is an impressive 6.5 km circuit and an amazing 60m wide 3.2 km straight, one of the longest in the country.
LLandow, previously a second World War airfield allows us to make this offering in South Wales.
The comprehensive suite of track facilities, skid pan and open spaces allows us to deliver our courses in a safe and controlled environment, this, coupled to our on road training lends itself perfectly to our driver training programs which include;
- DDRSA (Defensive Driving and Road Safety Awareness)
- Defensive and Evasive Driving
- Security Chauffeur Training
- Blue Light Training
- Green Light Training
Both faciliities allow us to conduct security driver training in a controlled environment to include J turns, Y turns, fish tailing and ramming techniques.
All our instructors are ex-police or military driving instructors who have not only been involved in road safety for many years but who have been at the forefront of tactical and technical driver instruction doctrine.
